In case you haven’t heard, turmeric is having a major moment. Turmeric has a number of uses and health benefits, from easing inflammation to increasing circulation to protecting the heart and brain. You can whip up the spice into a warm, creamy treat on a freezing-cold day. Here’s how. Ingredients: 1 cup of cashew milk (or Almond or Coconut Milk) 1 teaspoon of coconut oil 1 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger 1 teaspoon of ground cardamom 1/4 teaspoon (or more) of turmeric paste A pinch of ground vanilla Maple syrup or honey to taste Instructions: In a small saucepan, mix all the ingredients and heat for several minutes. Once heated, transfer to the blender and mix for several seconds so the ingredients emulsify. Enjoy! #deathbybosu Who says a workout at home cannot crush you?! I really like going to the gym, get out of the house, see other people sweating, chat with friends... oh and work hard with all the equipment there!!! Today this wasn't possible, so I set myself up in the basement and got cracking on bbg week 9 arms. Homeworkout means busting out the ankleweights to make up for the lack of heavy weights at my house... works like a charm! Liss was an hour walk with sick little one in the stroller. Even though it didn't seem like this at 5 am this morning, I am happy to report, workouts are on track today. How is everyone else starting the week?

BBK FITNESS: Full body BOSU ball routine. Start with doing 40sec each with 40sec rest in between. Once you complete all 7 exercises, rest for 2 minutes and repeat. As your stamina increases you should decrease the rest periods.

I am not one to take many pictures of myself exercising. But it is a big part of who I am; my lifestyle.✨One of the many hats I adorn. So I asked my friend to snap a picture. I do a lot of strength work on the bosu and sometimes in between, I practice a yoga pose for fun.✨ This is Dancing Shiva. My hip flexors are so f**kin tight from all of the sagittal plane movements; squats, lunges, leg pressing (my bad still).✨So it is nice to open and throw in some fluidity. Natural movement is what our body and soul craves. Try it. You may like it...✨

✨Training Tip for Single-Leg Balances! ✨ So my first two reps are INCORRECT - why? 🤔No adductor activation! 😳‼️ Notice the pause after my 2nd rep.. I contract (squeeze) my adductors (inner thigh muscles) of my standing leg. It almost looks like I get taller! DO THIS. 👍🏼Think of the body hugging into the midline, rooting down and pulling up all at the same time! This is the trick to a solid balance. I'm still swaying a little bit (partly due to the unstable environment from the BOSU ball, and partly due to my body's current limitations in strength/stability, but this is why I'm doing this exercise). 😜 --- Other alignment tips [that I realize I could have done better after viewing this video]: keep the hips parallel with the floor & toes of the flying leg pointing straight down! 👇🏼This keeps the hips in line and allows for equally balanced strengthening of the hamstrings, yet the ability to do this successfully is limited by the range of motion in your hip flexors and hamstring flexibility of your supporting leg. (Hence why I'm also getting bodywork on my psoas/hip flexors! Mine are tight so my body wants to naturally turn out to compensate.)
