Ups, I did it again ⏱ I bought an old school alarm clock like I used to have when I was a young girl and had no cell phone and all that other stuff. I instantly banned my cellphone from my bed - and guess what: It feels just great!! What a freedom 😃

Always studying - my little wants to take part, too😂: Pelvic floor and core are so important and if you don't do it right during pregnancy and postnatal (and actually always, men included), you can harm yourself a lot. There is so much to take into consideration while training the individual case! And not much research done at all on, for example intraabdominal pressure and the effects on the fetus when performing loaded squats while pregnant. So far animal studies show a negative effect with higher intraabdominal pressure on the offspring. I don't think pregnant women should do loaded squats at all during pregnancy (no matter how much they lifted/squatted before) until research says it's fine to do! And they may harm not only their baby's, but although their own pelvic floor. So, leave your ego at the door, pregnant women!! It is a special time with major changes in your whole body, not just your vagina! #knowyourstuff

Alright guys...not my typical all body workout, but, I'm 2 days post op! I had bilateral breast mass removals with muscle involvement, so basically I'm not allowed (and couldn't even if I tried) to use my chest or shoulders for anything over 10 lbs. Now, I'm fine, going to be fine, no cancer or anything, so please don't feel bad or worry! I debated back and forth about letting all of you know about my surgery or just posting what I could when I could or even just being MIA for awhile. What I decided is, if you follow me it's because I'm real. So here it is...im allowed to work my lower body, although nothing strenuous for the next couple weeks. So my answer? Get walking! I'm so lucky to have my husband, who has taken some time off cause I can't pick up my kids, and to help me when needed (aka getting a shirt on cause I can't lift my arms up!). Yesterday I did basically the same as in this video (walking with some squats and duck walking, or walking while in a squatting position) even though I was only 24 hours post op I had to get moving. I was sore, stiff and starting to feel bad about myself. The perfect remedy, get your butt out of bed and outside. Yesterday morning my husband and I ventured on a 2 mile walk we knew well. After we got back I felt so much better. Less stiff and less sad about what I couldn't do. I felt proud of what I was doing, what my body could do; still moving and whatnot right after surgery. So, for now, I'll be working on my lower body and will try to come up with some really unique workouts for all of you to try! 3ish mile walk/run with all the ladies (dog included). The big toddler did great, walked the dog a little (the leash was attached to the stroller, I would never let my 2 year old walk our 50lbs pitbull haha, just so you all know) ran a bit and walked almost the entire way. So proud of this little gremlin. Just plain tiredness had kicked in by the time both the girls were up, changed/dressed for the day and fed breakfast, but both the girls enthusiasm about going for a walk (my 2 year old got her shoes on almost completely by herself!!!) is what got my shoes on and my butt off the floor. Happy Monday!!! Kinda. Haha so my kids both kinda slept like crap, one of them had me up every 45 min to an hour 🙄😐 poor things, and well me (pity party here!!! Lmao) so the last wake up being about 445, where both my husband and I were pretty much just awake; me just frustrated with a bad headache, and him cause he had to get up in about 30min to get ready for work anyway. So, kinda a rough night, but my preferred way to turn things around? A little exercise (gladly interrupted for a goodbye kiss from my husband 😜😘) a hot, black cup of coffee, and a little relaxation. I'd say it worked great to shift my mindset and mood to start off this Monday morning. Bring it on Monday!!! Who's with me?!? Breakfast workout! Both the girls woke up early this morning (well early for them is 7am haha) so I got them to eat breakfast at the same time which means....? I got to get in a quick 15 min sweat session while they were eating, and watching me! Again with the role model stuff I know lol in other news, my back is pretty much totally better from the trapezius muscle pull/strain but my neck!!! Ugh it's stiff, hurts to move and is basically just super freaking annoying. And with the strain in my neck I've had pretty much a consistent headache for almost 2 weeks now ☹️ but, I will tell you all, sitting and "resting", doing nothing made me feel worse! Any time you can get your blood flowing it will help with sore muscles because it allows the extraction of built up waste within the muscles. Even just a 10 min walk will help!
