I love Wednesdays. Literally my fave day of the week. Why? Because I have to wake up super early to get to Hull to train with the big boss @nabba_pro_danwelburn and I know he'll push me to my limits and tell me how it is! I love training but after 5 years of basically training alone, I enjoy nothing more than being told what to do and given that extra push!! Really is my favourite day of the week solely for this reason! Yes I'm a geek! This is my final exercise and final set of this mornings delt sesh with him. For anyone who doesn't believe in chiropractic care, I've been with mine for about a year and a half or so. We started working on my spine immediately after x-rays (on the right) and discovering I didn't have asthma but Spinal Degeneration Disease in stage one. The good news, the way I workout stopped it from progressing. The bad news, if I didn't start seeing Doctor Ben I would have stayed in pain and been unable to breathe right, digest food properly, or been the height I was meant to be. I get asked a lot how often I workout, the answer is everyday. I take a rest day when my body tells me to. If I take too many, especially consecutively then I start to feel pain again, I can feel my spine shifting back. I get headaches and have trouble breathing again. So remmeber this next time you think something is just gibberish or hocus pocus crap, the proof walks around on a daily. Today was one of few days over the past four years of seriously #lifting / working out that I walked out of the gym before finishing my #workout. I only had two exercises left but it was crowded in every area I needed to be (I had hip thrusters and curtsy squats left) and I was getting aggravated. I go to the gym to burn off anxiety, aggravation, anger, etc., so I didn't want to feel any of those emotions while I was there. So I left. And it's totally fine! Some days are just off days for whatever reason and it doesn't make me, or you, a failure. Listening to what I needed in the moment was way more important. My #glutes aren't going to be mad I skipped two exercises 😂 so this is your reminder to not be so hard on yourself. Do your best with what you have and that's all that matters. 😘 PS: these @fabletics leggings are AMAZING.
