"Nature is not our enemy, to be raped and conquered. Nature is ourselves, to be cherished and explored. Shamanism has always known this, and has always, in its most authentic expressions, taught the path that required allies. These allies are the hallucinogenic plants and the mysterious teaching entities, luminous and transcendental, that reside in that nearby dimension of ecstatic beauty and understanding that we have denied until it is now nearly too late" Terence Mc Kenna #books #shamanism #terencemckenna #lazysunday #meow #stargazer #moonchild #spacer #spacecat #spaceslut #stardust #starchild

"It was when I stopped searching for home within others and lifted the foundations of home within myself I found there where no roots more intimate than those between a mind and a body that have decided to be whole." - Rupi Kaur 🌈 Sunday feels 🌻 📷 @vendela.aroha 💕 #grounding #malabeads #lushmalabeads

This image went viral on Pinterest some months ago and I noticed that almost every caption or blog that accompanied it referred to it as a portrayal of Cleopatra.'s actually the ancient Egyptian Goddess Hathor! Hathor was associated with the cow - the ancient symbol of fertility - and was depicted as the pillars for the Milky Way over which the sun god Ra rode. The cow horns and sun disk are depicted on her headdress along with the Uraeus, the venomous cobra worn by royalty for protection. This headdress, along with her necklace and crown, identify this portrayal as one of Hathor. The stylist also cleverly replaced the mirror she typically holds with an iPod and replaced the sun disk with a mirror (and took many other liberties). One of the truly great things about Hathor is that she was worshipped and revered (especially by women) because she embodied such a multifaceted lifestyle. She was a mother, a lover, a wife, a bringer of joy, and a warrior. She was not one thing; she was everything👑🐍Hathor's Kiss, a perfume oil or solid evoking the warm sensuality and powerful presence of Hathor, is available in my shop (link in profile) in 1 oz and 2 oz sizes starting at just $12🖤
