💜💗💜💗 .... OMGOSH YeSsSsS! My favorite compliments are those of these characteristics - none of which have anything to do with my physical appearance. This transformation has nothing to do with pictures of fitness progress, but my insides 💋 Early 20s, I used to want to be seen as hot, pretty, thin, sexy to others. But I was so insecure, I knew I never measured up. Ever. I picked myself apart because I was being picked apart by others. Dark soul, angry, and lost. Now? I want to be known for being sweet, kind, genuine, funny, goofy, smart, outgoing, ambitious, determined, and basically... unstoppable. Who needs to try to be "sexy" when you can use your 1000 watt smile that can make a loved one laugh, change a bad mood, make a stranger feel important, or ease a child's mind ☺️ Sorry, I couldn't care less ✌🏼😎 So I'll keep clownin over here and doing my thing 🤡 Because I'm happily almost 30 and I know I'm SO much more than my physical appearance👋👋 Anyway! @brittanydawnfitness Back, abs, and cardio donezo!!! Now I'm not downing rest days in general but unexpected rest days drive me insane! I finally go to the gym and even scanned in and while walking to the locker room I had intense pain in my ear. I've felt like I had water or something in my ear since last night and I was just going to go tomorrow to check it out but I couldn't do it and had to go today... 1/24/17| I ended up being flexible for dinner and having Annie's mac and cheese for dinner cause my mom didn't want to make tacos 👍🏻 the point I'm getting at is yeah I didn't want mac and cheese and I didn't enjoy as much as I would have tacos but eating it was so worth it and a part of me doesn't even care😌 at dinner tonight I actually felt a part of the conversation and it was nice for a change. I felt like me again😁 I was laughing, being sarcastic, and talking about what I want to do over the summer☀️😄 you see guys there is so much more to life out there than just worrying about food 🍴 I'm learning that now. I pray that all of you guys learn that too in your recovery journey and I would be more than happy to help you 😇💜💜💜 Also thank you all for 800 warriors🙏🏻 it is a blessing to be able to reach this many people about eating disorders. Happy #humpday fitties! Made some peanut butter energy bites to tide us through midweek! What went in: 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter, 1/2 date paste (just pulse some pitted dates through a processor); 2 tablespoons runny honey 1 cup rolled oats, and 1 cup kamut puffs. The kamut puffs did soften with time so it wasn't as crispy as I would've liked. A good substitute would be unsweetened rice krispies!! Killed myself with leg day today after an unintentional rest day yesterday... When you gotta sleep in... You gotta sleep in.. Amirighttttt? 😆

Okay, so I wasn't going to post this photo because of the fact that since my stomach showed. Why? Because to me, even that little part shows that I don't have defined stomach or abs. Also, this was from yesterday, but I legit feel like a sack of potatoes today (one of those days 🙃 so that doesn't help either). But then I realized and told myself, "Joy, you're being stupid. You preach that your aren't defined by your body, but yet you're scared to post a picture because you "don't have abs"?" I sometimes have to remind myself that my value as a person has nothing to do with what I look like. Just because I don't have rock solid muscle or am lean doesn't mean I'm any less of a person. And if anyone thinks otherwise, and sees you in a more negative light just because you don't look a certain way, get them out of your life; you don't need them 🙌🏼 So in short, your body doesn't deserve the ridicule you sometimes give it. You are a beautiful human being whose worth is only measured by your heart, soul, and mind ❤

Focused on that tempo! 👈💃Hit shoulders by @kaylapolidoro85 with the help of @anotherkerrproject Today was rest day for #Pipehitter2 so I knew shoulders would fit perfectly since I focused on back and biceps yesterday. I'm excited and overly anxious after signing up for an Oly Lifting Class in two weeks at my box @sweatfactorycrossfit. This is the year I want to learn, grow, and challenge myself. I'm ready to stop being competitive with my own damn self and learn by doing things right. I want to experience every aspect of training and so far, I have. I'm ready! Last year I walked through a tough transformation and stepped out of my comfort zone...but not enough out of it. Trainer Tip Tuesday: mix it up! At least once a week, I hear from women who are "active" but not seeing the results they want. Week after week, they're using their classpass, hitting the running track, and doing yoga but their bodies remain unchanged. We've all been there, am I right?! That's why it's SO important to keep changing up the challenge we're giving our bodies. Our bodies are smart and super efficient, so unless the challenge changes, we stay the same. My favorite way to keep mixing it up is to swap out my equipment. If I've been using DBs for my squats for a few weeks, I'll grab kettlebells or a barbell. If I've been doing bent over rows, maybe I'll do some negative chin ups. This forces my body to adapt (AKA show those results).
