Usar suplemento de BCAA pensando em ganho de massa muscular ou inibição do catabolismo muscular não é uma ideia muito inteligente, uma vez que seu corpo precisa de todos os 20 aminoácidos para formar proteínas musculares. Desses 20 aminoácidos, 11 podem ser sintetizados pelo seu organismo (não essenciais) e os outros 9 (essenciais) precisam ser obtidos através da alimentação. A sinalização promovida pelo BCAA através da via Akt/mTOR irá estimular a síntese proteica, mas na ausência dos demais aminoácidos essenciais, o seu corpo precisa obter aminoácidos a partir da degradação das proteínas do seu músculo, o que acaba resultando em redução da síntese proteica muscular. Por isso, qualquer alimento fonte de proteínas é mais vantajoso que consumir um suplemento de BCAA. O BCAA só tem utilidade se consumido com proteínas, mas como sabemos esse excesso não irá trazer benefícios se vc já consome proteína suficiente na dieta (~2 g/kg). Pior ainda é gastar dinheiro com BCAA injetável, já que não irá promover efeito diferenciado se o seu intestino está funcionando como de qualquer pessoa saudável.
