***Resistance Bands*** After being sat for 4 hours writing a uni essay, I attempted my first resistance band workout  and I'm not gonna lie, it took me a bit of time to work out where to put the band and get the technique right but when I did...I loved it 🙌 I will definitely be doing more of it! I also started with a 20min HIIT today because I wanted to sweat 💧and then I burned myself out with the bands 🔥I must say I really enjoyed the combo and think I will be doing it more often. Happy Monday everyone 😘 DSDOG_CrossFit mma CrossFitUSA sport training

Front Leg Raises with resistance band : . . : : How : : Loop the band around the sole of one foot. Hold the other end of the band with your hands. Engage your core and straighten your spine. While standing, raise one leg up into extension. Keep your hips paralleled. Lengthen your spine up while keeping the legs long and straight. DSDOG_CrossFit mma CrossFitUSA sport training

everyone begins at the beginning - I’m not worried about what others can do but what I’ll be able to do - and looking around I see all levels of fitness and I see where I’ve been and how far I’ve come as well as where I could be. Hard work and training correctly is key. DSDOG_CrossFit mma CrossFitUSA sport training

Workout Wednesday baby! What are your tips for staying energized and motivated? Mid-week vibes can feel sleepy, sluggish and heavy, right? I teach two spin classes on Wednesday’s so that helps me shift out of any low I might be feeling physically or otherwise. If my body is feeling good I also sneak in some extra resistance training to keep my body challenged. I do my best to resist the temptation to boost with caffeine or extra food and instead focus on resting my mind, even 15 minutes of downtime unplugged from my devices helps. Add resistance⚡️ Strength training is as important as cardiovascular training, for different reasons. This type of training helps you burn fat as it strengthens the muscles and builds lean tissue - this, in turn, helps to speed up the metabolism💥 On the other hand, strength training is important not only to strengthen muscles but also bones 💪 preventing osteoporosis ... in addition, this type of training improves your athletic performance and reduces the risk of injury, not only in the gym but also on a day-to-day basis, because with greater agility and coordination you can perform all kinds of movements better functional 🙌 There are several ways to perform strength exercises, either with your own weight, with dumbbells / weights / machines, or with resistance bands like this one that I use in the photo. You can even vary your routines with a mix of different instruments 😉 Find the way you like best, which suits you, and get ready to train! Try to complete at least 2 strength training sessions per week, and you will see how your body gains strength and agility. DSDOG_CrossFit mma CrossFitUSA sport training

Banded/Resisted Donkey Kicks; These are a great glute activation movement to do before leg days. Since, we’re always sitting on our butts at work, school, etc. they take a little extra push to activate during lifts. Also, these will help with lifting the butt for a more round look, You’re welcome🍑 DSDOG_CrossFit mma CrossFitUSA sport training
